  1. Dear Diala

I saw an article about your work on the bbc today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35847632
I would very much like to feature one of your pieces on my blog. My blog is mainly about science, but I also have a section for art: http://www.wavepowerconundrums.com/search/label/Wave%20art. I'm particularly interested in this piece of yours: http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/DE2A/production/_88847865_it's-a-baby-girl.jpg because its so beautiful, but it also because the message is very relevant to the West (where most of my readers are from). Our media still refers to refugees as 'migrants' .

I would like to ask for your permission to use the image above. In exchange I will include a linkback to a site of your choice. In addition, it would be great (if you have time) if I could have a chat to (or email exchange with) you about this picture to find out more about what is happening? Is the baby girl the one being held or the one that the man with the smart phone has just been told about? Are there any particular metafors in this picture? I feel like the sea represents the volatility of war and the isolation of being a refugee, but given that the only art I write about is themed around ocean waves, I may be reading too much into this!
